-
- The Fourth Street Grill has gone a long way downhill, in stages. It
- was great when Mark Miller was chef. It was really fine when Amey
- Shaw was chef. It hasn't been good since.
-
- They suffer from both ill-conceived and poorly-prepared food. The
- "original" dishes, one of which was a favorite of mine: Yucatan
- Sausages w/ shoestring potatoes, aren't up to snuff. I have found
- rubber bands and metal twist-tie remnants in salads there.
-
- The dishes that are new (not part of the Mark Miller repetoire) are
- just not very good at all. The ownership changed not long ago, and
- things haven't improved.
-
- With so many other places to go, like Lalime's, Chez Panisse, etc.
- why bother with this amateurish place?
