- This list is a compilation of the character descriptions for all characters
- presently 'active' on alt.pub.dragons-inn. 'Active' is here intended to
- mean 'posted within the last two weeks or so'. The purpose of this list
- is to give players/readers a handy reference to other peoples' characters
- and the players' e-mail addresses. Ideally, the characters listed herein
- should be available for interaction, although they may not at present be
- within the Inn proper.

- If you desire to use a character on this group, please send me a brief
- description of the character. This is not a requirement, but a request:
- this list is a service, not a tax form. No summaries will be rejected
- provided you intend to actually use the characters in question. Summaries
- should cover basic and obvious information: physical descriptions and
- mannerisms, attitudes, and any simple background you wish to include.
- Summaries should optimally be kept to ten lines long, each of 80 characters
- or less.

- In order to keep this list tidy and accurate, please inform me if you intend
- to suspend a character temporarily or permanently. If you want to take a
- character summary off the active list, it will not be deleted; instead, I
- will move it to a 'sleeper' file in the event you wish to reactivate it. It
- is very important that you volunteer to help in this matter if you wish to
- be on the list, as the clutter of 'unused' characters can make this file
- very long indeed. Periodically, I may conduct a census to see if everybody
- on the list is still in fact 'out there'; failure to respond to such a
- census may result in consigning of characters to the sleeper file.

- In the course of maintaining this list, I am bound to make mistakes. Please
- contact me if any information regarding your character is incorrect. Typos
- will also be gladly fixed if you point them out to me.

- **Aglarond Duinmaren Rhunen III**:

- Aglarond's height has never been established, even though he is roughly
- 5'11" when standing fully erect, something of which he never does. His
- hair is ivory-white with the hair just above the forehead being ebony-
- black. He wears a dusty brown cloak held on by a pin with a red eye on it.
- Always is he wearing a white chemise that has been stitched up many times.
- Aglarond has brown breeches and soft boots. He doesn't seem to be carrying
- any possessions, because everything is stored in his cloak. He used to be
- a fighter of mild talent (he could use almost any bladed weapon), until he
- discovered his psi-abilities. He has since been training his abilities to
- make himself the ultimate in fighter offense and defense.

- Alaric is a half-elven fighter with healing and magickal abilities. He is
- taller than Khisanth, with dark hair and a scar on the left side of his face.
- Mated to Khisanth.

- **Alfvaen**: (Alfvaen) aaron@space.ualberta.ca

- Alfvaen is a half-elven thief, who occasionally uses magic but doesn't rely on
- it. He's quick-witted and free with his tongue, but a true friend once you've
- earned it. He journeyed to a place called the City of the Dead, where he died
- the first time. His soul was trapped by an amulet he wore, and Lassiviren the
- Dark, a drow assassin (whom some of you might remember from the AD&D Rogue's
- Gallery--slightly modified for my purposes), took his place, leaving the City.
- Upon Lassiviren's subsequent death, Alfvaen reappeared. He has basically
- settled in Generica for the nonce, working for Moriarty Investigations.
- Recently, the soul of his beloved Elstree was also trapped in the amulet, to
- save her from sacrifice to Lolth...so they are once more united, in a fashion.

- **Arienne**: (Jillian Maree Thomas) 34EP2A2@CMUVM.CSV.CMICH.EDU

- She's got huge, almost elfin, amber eyes and darkly tanned skin. Her
- hair is shoulder length, black brown, with streaks of metallic gold. She is a
- thief, a con-artist extraordinaire-with a flair for losing her money as fast as
- she makes it. She's a cheap drunk, so has some difficulty remaining single for
- long. She has recently run away from her latest husband (almost *late*
- husband), an orc who bought several rounds at some bar. She is fluent in
- several languages, and easily imitates local and foreign dialects. Weapons
- proficiency is in throwing -- knives, shuriken, beer bottles and so on. She
- can usually be seen wearing impractical, but intriguing voluminous type robes,
- with her trademark thigh high black patent leather boots.

- **Artimian Yauntirr of Elturel**:

- Artimian stands at 6'3" and weighs 157 lbs. He has brown hair, skin,
- and eyes, all the same shade. He is a fanatical worshiper of Azuth and a
- conjurer on the side. He keeps a medium war horse and 3 war dogs that he
- trained, a swift that he summoned as his familiar, 2 night lizards that
- attached themselves to him, and a hyper-bola that he charmed too well
- recently. After killing his mother and father (he discovered that they
- were lyncanthropes) he has been named King of Elturel, but has left his
- kingdom to track down who started spreading the disease through his
- kingdom. He almost caught him twice, but was interupted by skeletons.

- Arth is 4'10" and 178 lbs. He has purpleish-green hair, black eyes, and
- reddish-orange skin, all due to mishaps as he played with his toys. He has
- almost no skills except that he can cause any magical, religious, psionic,
- technological, or any other item to work for him, and sometimes even work
- the way he wants them to. He has collected around two thousand items
- throughout his travels between different worlds, cosms, dimensions, etc.
- His favorite items to collect are cloaks (he's wearing 6), pockets of any
- kind (storage space for his other items), and arrows (the one weapon he
- knows how to use is a bow). He has been frequently quoted as saying, "So
- THAT'S what that does!" as all his friends die around him. Amazingly, with
- as much travel as he's done, he hasn't really learned anything.

- She's about 5' 6" tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her travelling
- clothes consist of a forest green tunic, breeches and gray cloak and boots.
- One might guess that she is a ranger from her attire. However, she wears a
- strange black hat (a bowler hat) though those in the inn probably have never
- seen the type before. She carries a 2-handed sword slung across her back
- as well as a small shield. The most striking thing about her is her skin:
- she is covered from her face down to her hands (and probably everywhere else!)
- by a strange tattoo-like bluish-silver pattern. In spite of (or maybe because
- of) this exotic pattern, she is exceedingly beautiful. She appears to be
- quite human.

- Bakr ibn Ja'far ibn Musa al Mekneshi, apprentice mage from the city of
- Meknesh, in the land Eschar, in the world of Midgard, whence he wants
- to return. A huge fat man in a once-white burnoose, wearing a scarf on his
- head; rudder-like nose, almost meeting eyebrows, light brown skin. Wears
- a belt with two daggers, carries a rucksack.
- He masters only a few spells, among them Control of Animals and Control
- of the Senses. With the latter he can pose as anything from a human to a
- plant, as long as it is not larger than himself.
- He is rather lazy, and courage is not one of his virtues.

- Race: Other-human Male
- Beyn is yet another Vampire. Ok, but he is an energy vampire. He
- can survive on the normal food that humans eat, but without drawing
- the 'driving energy' from people, he is so lethargic he is nearly
- hibernating.
- Driving Energy -- I define as that which motivates us to action...
- that which our souls and spirits thrive on in the form of hope and
- other related positive energies.
- Other-human describes a human from one of the alternate planes
- that give variance to what is called the norm.
- Beyn is a 5'10" book mage with sandy(and unkempt) hair, blue eyes,
- slender build, and he is right-handed. His apparent age is about 30,
- but he has lived about 60 years among men. He wears simple robes (two
- layers in the cool and wet months), sandals, a rucksack, and a billcap
- with the words, "Mental Giants" written on it. He has a belt that
- holds a few ornate pouches and two scroll tubes. Also on the belt
- is a sturdy (and sharp) missive-opener which might serve as a dagger
- in emergencies. He wears a heavy amulet bearing a very stylized
- symbol of an inverted vortex.
- Beyn is usually one of the patrons in dark, secluded corners, staying
- far enough away so as to draw a little energy from all, but not too much
- from any one person. Beyn is most often in a partially lethargic state
- since he is very much against 'taking' hope away from the living.

- His name is Bran Pathseeker, and he is a wanderer. Originally from the
- independent city of Three Lands' Junction on the world of Alaphon, he has
- long since journeyed elsewhere. He appears human,and claims to be so, save
- for a strange silver tint to his eyes, but he is actually a mixture of
- human, and a now-vanished race called the Tharns.He is 6'1" and built like
- a fighter.His eyes are blue with a silver tint, and his hair is red, again
- with a silverish tint. He is commonly garbed in either light chain mail,
- or traveling leathers, both of which are sky blue. He wears a silver sash
- around his waist, and a silver headband. He also sometimes uses a dark
- brown cloak. He is armed with a variety of weapons, including a two-bladed
- battleaxe and a short sword. He also travels with a strange creature bred
- from magick. Its name is Glimmer, and it is a shimmercat. Much is left to
- be learned... Bran is an easy-going, somewhat flamboyant person, who
- refuses to be stuck into one mold. Neither fighter, nor ranger, bard nor
- thief, mage nor paladin, he's a unique blend.

- Bronwen is a priestess of Lugh Long-Handed. She is often a tempestuous woman.
- Her true love, Liam, was forced to take over the role of Celtic God of the Dead
- after destroying the previous tenant of that position, and since then she has
- been inconsolable. She is a good friend of Mistletoe and Ornigan, more the
- former than the latter. She is a tall statuesque beauty, sometimes unaware of
- the effect her beauty has on men and unsure how to deal with those effects when
- made aware of them.

- **Brycur the Merchant**: (Peter Bruce Harper) patchman@wpi.wpi.edu

- Brycur is a merchant in the bazaar. He is a fairly hansome man with long
- dirty blonde hair. He's fairly thin with well-toned muscles. He dresses
- somewhat raggedly with a loose fitting shirt and pants and high-cut boots.
- He is of average intelligence, relying more on charisma to get him what he
- wants. He is far from rich but not poor either. It is evident from his
- appearance that he is from the area of the Low City, although he has much
- common sense and much knowledge of the world as he is a well travelled man.

- **Captain**: (Brett Fishburne) bfish@sequent.com

- A rather normal individual. His ruddy face reflects a life on ships. He
- has a real name, but it is far lost to antiquity (at least for now). Captain
- pilots the *Morning Breeze* which is a cargo vessel. He plies the river which
- lies between Generica (to the North) and Specifica (to the South). Captain
- usually brings sugar from the South to trade for furs from the North. He will
- welcome any passengers as long as they pay for their passage and cargo in
- some manner. He's basically a "good guy" although he is not the brightest
- man in the world. Captain has the savvy of the common man and is not easily
- fooled. Don't expect him to organize an expedition to overthrow the navy of
- another city-state, but you could count on his efforts to rectify a bad
- situation. In general, Captain is an even-handed kind of guy who is not fond
- of any damage to his boat.
- Captain has curly black hair with a touch of gray at the temples. The
- gray also is starting to extend itself into his beard. His hair and beard
- are cut when it is convenient, so he may at any time have long hair and/or
- beard. Captain wears a ring on his left pinky and a necklace. The ring
- allows Captain to have the same basic agility as the average human (he was
- born quite the clutz). The necklace is a medallion of true speak which
- allows the Captain to speak (he was born mute). Due to a defect in the
- medallion, Captain can tell occasional white lies, but bold faced lies are
- not the sort of thing you will hear from him.

- The short dark grizzly fella, him what's started drawin' and writin' on
- parchment over there in his own private corner at his own private table, him
- what fancies Double Dragon Ale, is (shhh! it's still a secret but not fer
- long) Cathal Rua Mac Ri Lochlann, a student of human nature by inclination and
- a wee bit of a wag (but hard to detect as such). He's about a head shorter
- than the norm, a bit shaggy around the head - it's been a while since his last
- trim, you see. His hands are bit large for his size, inkstained. He's been at
- that table observing the interactions in the pub and documenting the parts he
- thinks interesting. I expect that he'll start interacting a bit with the
- other active characters as soon as things gits quieter.

- **Chip'Chirip'Cherebaklamapacth (Chip' for short)**:

- Chip is a thri-kreen fighter/ priest of his deity SSchi'eh, who, according to
- their legends, is the mother of all thri-kreen. Chip himself is a yellowish
- colour and stand about 7' high (he's about 10' long including abdomen). The
- only clothing he ever wears is a harness that holds his two gythka (magical it
- looks like) and many chatka. His priest spells mainly use insects (when he
- uses them at all).

- Besides the platinum-white hair and the violet eyes, he could be
- your neighbors kid next door. He also looks to be around 18 years of age,
- and probably is. For a person that young looking he can certainly handle
- a sword and also possesses sound-based magikal 'talents'. It was said that,
- back then he acquired this 'talent' during his time as a choirboy at his
- place of worship. As for his appearance, he looks human, is about 5'9"
- with a lean frame, and weighs roughly 150lbs. He has a fair complexion and
- a striking countenance, but because of his age he still retains that slightly
- boyish look. He wears a grey travelers cloak, leather armor underneath,
- breeches, and a sword at his side. His short white hair is tied up by a thin
- black sash and wears what seems to be a gold chain around his neck which is
- partially concealed under the armor. It is also said that he is not from
- this world and hopes to eventually find a way back home unless if he
- really likes it here in Generica.

- Colin is a tall (6' 3"), slender half-elf, with brown eyes and shoulder-
- length brown hair. His looks tend to favor his human half, but there is no
- mistaking his mixed parentage. He dresses in blues and deep forest greens,
- with knee-high black boots. His clothing is always of high quality but never
- flashy. He carries a katana slung over his back, a dagger at his right hip,
- and a beautifully crafted longsword with a great black gem set in its hilts
- at his left. A medallion bearing the unicorn symbol of the goddess Meilikki,
- goddess of the forest and patron of Rangers, serves as a cloak pin. Colin
- is almost always unfailingly polite in his manners and pleasant in demeanor,
- but has a tendency to get melodramatic at times.

- Dariel appears to be a man in his mid-twenties, but his light blue eyes
- are very wise and they shine with an inner light. His hair is sandy brown,
- short and untidy. He is good-looking in an innocent sort of way. He has a
- soft, expressive voice, and his manner is direct but easy-going and gentle.
- He smiles often. He wears simple, unornamented clothes and carries no weapon.
- Dariel serves a Master who lives in a far distant Place named Stronghold.
- Stronghold has been at war for a very, very long time, since before Dariel was
- created. They are slowly losing. He was sent to Generica to remove the threat
- of four rogue Archons who had journeyed to the world on which Generica is
- located and established a base of operations there. Having accomplished his
- assigned duty, Dariel is waiting patiently for his Master to send someone to
- retrieve him. He expects to be waiting for some time--maybe centuries...

- Darvin is a street urchin from the town of Natchkin. He knows
- bugger all about anywhere else. He is effectively a petty thief, about
- 8 years of age. He is average height for his age, and has atrocious
- grammatical skills. His parents died some time back when a plague came
- through the town. He is presently journeying with the polymorphed
- centaur Helios Darkmane, under the impression that he is somehow linked
- to a prophecy concerning 6 heroes, who are in fact characters in apdi,
- foretelling the destruction of some nasty undead beastie.

- Darvos is a tall (6'4"), skinny (174lbs), middle aged(45) male human. He has
- short black hair, streaked with grey, combed straight back. His eyes are
- grey, but depending on the light can appear as other colors. Darvos is above
- average in strength. He is exceptionally intelligent, and dextrous.

- Darvos usually wears well tailored clothing tending towards darker colors,
- never something flamboyant. He is conservative in nature, and exceptionally
- polite. He is very inquisitive, and very much so the risk taker. He has
- an uncanny amount of luck. He is obviously a mage of skill, but carries a
- long sword as if he were a skilled warrior. He does carry a staff, but is
- a little clumsy with it. In a fight, he will resort to sword play only if
- magic is unnecessary. He is chaotic in his methods, but he does get
- results. He also loves practical jokes, but rarely is an instigator.
- Mostly he will follow along unless there is a lack of direction. Then he
- will set off on a course (not necessarily the wisest, but at least we're
- moving).

- Darvos carries a rune covered long sword, a pouch of darts, a skull ring,
- a plain brass ring, and a set of arm bracers. He wears a black cape,
- a belt with a 2 small belt pouches, and a rucksack.

- Darvos is fascinated with vampires. He would ultimately like to gain the
- powers of a vampire without the evil side effects. A live vampire would be
- ideal for his research. Perhaps a child vampire would be easier to control
- than an adult vampire. Darvos is currently in the Hunters thread.

- Denner is a young man with an unusual job. In his small town several hundred
- kilometers away from Generica, there were a lot of wizards who fooled around
- with alchemy and water magic. The end result of this was a lot of poisonous,
- toxic, detrimental, and sometimes just plain weird mixes of alchemic and
- arcanic fluids.

- The wizards started hiring people to 'take care' of this toxic sludge.
- It was the Train family who became the town's designated 'sludge handlers.'
- They became extremely skilled in the careful handling of toxins, and gained
- great respect among wizards from the nearby townships and provinces.

- Denner is a young man of about twenty-five, the third generation of toxin
- handlers. For four years he has carted around barrelfuls of poison, looking
- for safe and out-of-the-way places to dump his loads. Recently, he got
- a wonderful offer: there was another wizard far from his hometown who
- wanted to make use of these poisons for her own experiments. So Denner has
- made shipments to her ever since, though he is not sure why.

- Denner is almost always in full-toxic handler uniform: lots of thick leather
- cloaks, iron mesh leggings, ceramic-lined gloves, and a leather helmet/
- gas mask. Outside of all this, he is a fairly handsome young man with a
- tall build and unruly sandy brown hair.

- **Dougl**: (Dennis Brennan) djb6@midway.uchicago.edu

- Karl's young (somewhere between 8-15 years old) assistant. His parents
- are Aron (dead) and Lyra. Lyra and Karl agree that he should be discouraged
- from taking up a career in adventuring. To this end, he is currently a
- student at the St. Cuthbert Military Academy for young paladins.

- A "messenger" of Cyric, god of death. He's about 5'9", 162 lbs. and has
- blonde hair. He's constantly involved in at least three different schemes,
- trying to gain some wealth and power or running from something. Recently
- he has been chased by a fanatical were-rat who used to be a very good
- friend of his. Effandir has left a good trail of undead behind him in
- attempts to at least damage the rat so he can stand a chance against him.
- He currently has been hired by Aglarond along with Toscon.

- **Ellesariel Silverlock (called Ell...)**:

- Ellesariel, or Ell to his few friends, stands about 6' tall.
- His hair, a pale blonde with a single lock of silver hair, gives
- him his name and almost cover his lightly pointed ears that
- show him to be a half elf... What sets him apart from the
- normal patron of the Dragons Inn, however, is his attire. Pale
- blue silk and silver leather cover his entire body except his
- face with a light grey cloak held on by a platinum hawks-head
- pin overall. His weapons (three swords, 4 daggers, a mace and
- a quiver of arrows VISIBLE) show him to be a warrior... His only
- other possession is a belt with pouches on it.
- He is a good fighter and an agile thief, but his major
- ability lies at magic due to his true race, one of the lost
- Irda of Krynn.

- **Eric, First Shade of Cormyr**: (The Dreamer) asg102@psuvm.psu.edu

- Eric is a human male with shoulder length blond hair and dark blue-gray
- eyes. He appears to be in his early to mid-twenties, but he is actually
- much older. He is never without his greyish cloak that flows around him
- like a cloud of steam or smoke. His other clothes tend to be dark. He is
- 5' 7" tall and weighs about 155 lbs. with a muscular frame. His personality
- is that of a philosopher. He always looks at the long term effects of his
- and other people's actions. Finally, he is very loyal to his friends and
- his pupil, Luthor Anside.

- Ezrin U'Tharnus recently joined the Seaguard of Generica as a Marestasi.
- As a new recruit, he's been assigned to the nightwatch in Leviathan Tower.
- He's about 6 feet tall in his early twenties, but appears much older due
- to his short, thinning (and graying) black hair and moustache. Due to lack
- of exercise, Ezrin is badly out-of-shape. He isn't fat, but has a few
- unsightly bulges and very weak muscles. This is a major concern to the
- other Seaguard, who tease Ezrin about being a wimp not fitting their elite
- image. If not for the fact that Ezrin set a new high score (completely
- blowing away the competition) on the Marestasi entrance exam, there's no
- way he would have been accepted into their ranks.

- Farnham is a Gnome Illusionist with a wry sense of humor. He stands
- about 4'8" and sports a long white beard. Due to his prankish nature his
- friends tend to examine all of his ideas for making money VERY! carefully.
- Farnham is most commonly remembered by the vials of disgusting
- smelling phlumph (pronounced "flumf) guts, which he tosses at the first sign
- of trouble. He has just recently come out of retirement after blowing all
- of his available cash on a bum deal to develope an illusion of food that can
- actually sustain life.

- Male human(oid), age 30 to 40?
- Appearance: Short, dark hair; dark complexion ; high cheekbones ;
- glowing green eyes ; pointed ears with hairy tufts ;
- tufts of hair (or fur? ) between long fingers.
- Elves may detect an elven cast to the basic features,
- although the lynx-like overtones make this hard to spot.

- Firgun is a gnome about 3.5 feet tall. He's wearing a royal blue
- cloak with a uneven, singed tail. Firgun has black hair, a short, black
- beard, a large nose, and dark brown eyes. Under his cloak, he's wearing
- a black robe, with a large, blue star embroidered on the chest. He wears
- a tall, pointed blue hat that seems to contain an endless supply of odd
- magical and mundane devices. He has one dagger hanging by each side, and
- four more hang on a strap running across his chest. Firgun has claimed to
- be a great magician and an alchemist, and he does seem to possess a great
- number of unusual devices, many of which he claims to have invented himself.

- absent-minded, and is usually rummaging around for lost items. This is an

- accompanied by a small bronze drake (about 2 feet long) named Mijan. Mijan
- is spoiled, and always looking for a scratch. He and Fizzle communicate
- via a telepathic bond. They also work magic together, Mijan helping Fizzle
- expand his powers.

- Futuria is an extremely old man (looks to be about 100 in human
- years) who is the proprietor of "The Future", a small shop in the
- Arcade of Unforgotten Heroes. He has shoulder-length whitish-grey
- hair and is usually adorned with a white robe and sandals and a gold
- medallion around his neck. He is blind but often stares directly at
- people in such a way that often makes the person feel as though he
- is searching directly into their soul. He is a Fortune Teller/Seer
- who will tell someone anything about the past or the future for the
- right price. He often speaks to his customers in riddles which
- sometimes upsets his customers because they have to try to figure
- out what he means.

- but a few have guessed that she might be a half-ogre, half-troll, and the
- like. She's been known to pick up unwanted guests with one hand and flip
- them out one of the holes in the walls while calmly serving someone the
- "special."

- Gortok is a dwarf from the mountains that was born cursed with
- ugliness. Gortok can best be described as a scraggely black beard that
- covers his entire face except for two beady eyes and a large nose with two
- warts on it. Gortok is always in bad mood and does not lend friendship
- easily. When he does make a friend, he is loyal to death.
- Gortok has a grudge against a wizard named Marcos of the Many
- Shoes. Marcos hired Gortok and several friends to assist him on a quest.
- What Marcos really wanted was subjects for his experiments. All his
- friends were killed and Gortok was enlarged to six feet tall and 350
- pounds. No longer a true dwarf (as he put it), Gortok escaped and tried
- to kill Marcos. That's when he learned that Marcos cannot be hurt by
- normal weapons.
- Gortok has recently purchased a (very) large axe, for the purpose of
- hunting down Marcos. The blade is tempered silver and magically sharp.
- The weapon is indestructable and has many magical attacks and defenses.
- Gortok does not know how to use all the spells in the axe but he has an
- instruction manual.

- About 6'2", Greysdale has light grey skin, dark grey hair, yellow eyes
- that sometimes glow (reflective) and is ice cold to the touch. He wears
- grey shirt & pants and black boots, vest, gloves, and cape. There is a
- large tear in the front of the vest & shirt revealing chain mail be-
- neath. He carries a shield with a skull on the front, and a black sword
- with a cattle skull hilt and skull pommel (silver). He carries various
- other objects as well. He was a fighter with incredibly bad luck who
- died (struck by lightning immediately after beating an army single
- handed) and was re-animated by an evil mage (whom he has since slain).
- His undead nature gives him increased strength, endurance, and re-
- silience. He is invisible to infravision. His sword is the "iceblade"
- a defective frostbrand that lowers its wielder's temperature. It kills
- humans, but keeps Greysdale fresh.

- Hayley Silvertree is a pretty girl, 17 years of age. This is now
- hassle, however she is aslo blind, amnesiac, psionic and thinks she is about

- The past she doesn't know: Her mother was a priestess. Her older
- sister, Hyala, also trained as a cleric, and was to be Hayley's guide in the
- fulfilment of a prophecy, linking her with Helios Darkmane and others.
- According to the prophecy, of which Hayley has no recollection, Hayley is to
- be the child of hope against a major undead beastie. Hyala was seeking Hayley,
- who was lost when Hyala herself was kidnapped and their home town was
- plundered and razed, when she was killed fighting beside the warriors Timelord
- and Rollik...
- Hayley's powers: Hayley is able to erect shields around her mind
- and body, to use a 'radar' sense, to read the surface of people's minds,
- and to activate a type of psionic blast, "Mind Fry", through actual physical
- contact. Her memory of these abilities, however, is not fully intact...

- mad sorcerer in the North. She was cobbled together from
- the tissue of a young woman, some of the essence of the
- forces found in the dark, turbulent heart of The Fist
- and some of the sorcerer's own substance. Hazy can hurl
- bolts of lightning in the gigawatt range, change color/
- density as a cloud does and can fly in her mist and
- evaporated forms. She must fly to restore her body's
- electrical charge. This is her source of rest and
- sustenance. She was enslaved to the sorcerer as a tool
- of destruction until he was wiped out by one of his many
- enemies at the close of her second year of existence. She
- spent a year wandering and learning and joins the Dragon's
- Inn population at the start of her fourth year of life.

- Helios Darkmane was a centaur of the tribe Soesor. He spent much
- of his life journeying with two-footers, including Dougl's father Aron
- and Lathan Lancehand. More recently, he began journeying with Radan Tsran
- and company, otherwise known as the Rameshanders. When the party was in
- Specifica of the Sugars, however, Helios was centaur-napped by an old enemy,
- the arch-lich Shaman. As a means of revenge, Shaman polymorphed Helios
- into human form.
- Now Helios seeks revenge on Shaman, as well as restoral to his
- natural form. He travels with the boy-thief Darvin, and seeks aid for his
- plight. The two are linked by prophecy to four others, Hayley and Zakronius,
- Timelord and Rollik. The six have some serious butt-kicking to do....
- Helios is grim and practical by nature. His preferred weapon is the
- glaive. As a human, he stands approximately 6'3", is heavilly muscled,
- and has a blaze of black hair from his forehead to the small of his back. He
- wears no shirt.

- Generica without being seen. He is thin and scaly, very flexible, about
- the color of desert sand, with very powerful eyes and ears.

- Hubarak is a Large (6'7", 230 lbs.) Human Male wearing a well-worn cloak
- over his similarly well-worn armor. He carries an longbow and belt- and
- shoulder-quivers, along with a small axe on his belt.
- His father was a retired adventurer (also a Ranger/Archer)
- who settled down in a peacefull forest community, which was destroyed by
- maurauding Green dragons. Hubarak was one of the few survivors of the attack,
- so he found his father's old armor and weapons, including a silver arrow
- pendant necklace which has some (possibly magical) runes carved into it, and
- left to seek his fortune and do some exploring.
- Hubarak is now simply traveling the continent to see what he can see,
- and to raise enough money to hire a sage to try to decifer the runes on his
- pendant.
- Hubarak is a competent ranger, and an excellent shot with any type of bow.
- His boyish face, naive manner and gullibility often get him into trouble, but
- once he realizes it, he can usually manuver or fight his way out of a tricky
- situation.

- people off their respective pilars.
- The comic character would be considered a wee bit munchkin, considering
- the fact that he is somewhat immortal (as long as he can continue to keep one
- step ahead of the lords of hell, of which three own Johns soul. Long story.)
- Basically, he is just kinda hanging out and trying to relax. He
- is getting tired of saving English royalty from demonic possessions and such.

- The Jolly Roger, or Roger for short, is a human male about 25 years old.

- black duster. On the neck of the turtleneck and the lapel of his coat are
- a skull and bones insignia. His most outstanding features are his eyes.
- The irises are dark green, the pupils in the shape of skull and crossbones.
- He moves with a strange sense of grace, as if he were trying to contain his
- speed and power, which he is. Roger is a Physical Adept from the Boston
- Sprawl, an experienced shadow runner, and a deadly fighter. His magic
- augments his body well, and he's lightly cybered. He's pretty sarcastic,
- but good-natured. Tends to be impulsive, which gets him into trouble now
- and then.

- Kadrys is a vampire. In life he was a thief, and this still shows in his
- extreme stealth, and his form-fitting, unobtrusive black garb. His attitude is

- ancient even as vampires go, and therefore is unusually powerful, but he never
- makes any unnecessary displays of his skills. His ingrained caution and
- subtlety has kept him alive in too many tight corners, so he refuses to divulge
- the extent of his capabilities. He uses a dry, self-deprecating wit to relax
- those who come into contact with him. Physically, he is just under average
- height, lean and wiry, with the lithe body of an acrobat, and an untidy mane of
- black hair. His most striking features are his eyes: deepset and blacker than
- the darkest night. A long-unacknowledged need for normal human companionship
- has driven him over great distances to come to the Inn.

- Kalendraf is a stranger to this world. He was transported here by a magical
- horn, and he is now seeking a way to return to his home. Kalendraf, the Lord

- hair tops off his 5'10" frame. His face is normally kept clean-shaven,
- revealing his noble chin. He speaks very little of the Generican tongue,
- although he is trying to learn more. (ADMIN: To cast your very own comprehend
- languages spell: the rot13 command will decipher Kalendraf's native tongue.)

- Karl was born about fifty years ago in Vascondy, a small country northeast
- of Generica. He lived the adventurers' life for years, traveling (and
- battling) across the northern Known Lands with such notables as Aron and
- Lyra (Dougl's parents), Kayahel, Rowan Littlefair and even the legendary
- Olias of Sunhillow. He married a fellow adventuress, Sirvia of Aragat,
- and they intended to find a home somewhere and settle down after one
- last adventure. During this quest Sirvia was captured by an evil cult
- in the land of Varande. Disregarding the advice and offers of assistance
- of his former comrades, Karl attempted a solo assault on the cult's
- stronghold to rescure Sirvia. He failed, losing his right leg in the
- process. Despairing, he traveled to Generica intending to spend his last
- days as a guardsman. Sgt. T.E. Kron (q.v.) was impressed by the one-
- legged man's grim determination and secured for him the position of
- quartermaster of Glorshanned Keep- the primary commissary and armoury
- of Generica's guard. Karl has held this post for several years, taking
- the boy Dougl as an apprentice for a few months until his entrance into
- Paladin school. Recently, Karl has also assumed the office of Envoy of
- Generica- the chief diplomat and representative of the city abroad.
- Karl is graying, potbellied and mostly bald. He wears a pegleg below
- his right knee. He wears clothing befitting his position as quartermaster.

- Kelanen Aldorion (or 'Kel' as he is called by his close friends) is a 23 year
- old human Mageborn male born in the village of Ippit on the western coast of the
- Realm of Darwath. Standing at 5'11" and 174 lbs. with sandy-brown hair, ice-
- blue eyes, and sun-bronzed skin, he has the look of a survivor. Although quiet
- and unassuming on the surface, he takes note of what goes on around him with a
- keen perception. Intelligent and curious to a fault, he likes to tackle the un-
- discovered or unknown. Unfortunately, Kelanen also seems to have inherited his
- father's penchant for mischief.

- Kelanen Aldorion can usually be found wearing knee-high calf-hide boots, rugged
- leather breeches, plain cotton-white shirts, and a rustic-brown tunic belted at
- the waist by a simple black whipcord. The only claim to jewelry ever seen on
- him is an ornate metal signet ring on the ring-finger of his left hand. Other
- than that, he only carries a sheathed dagger strapped around his waist and a
- simple longsword with a leather-wrapped hilt in an undecorated scabbard strapped
- across his back. When travelling, Kelanen takes with him a rucksack containing
- his few belongings which consists of an encased 'flutte', a leather-bound jour-
- nal, writing paraphernalia, an oval metal ink container, various herbs, a large
- amethyst crystal, and at least one pig-bladder lined wineskin of home-brewed
- 'Blue Ruin'.

- Kelanen Aldorion learned simple survival skills, tracking, and the use of the
- dagger and longbow while hunting the lands around Ippit in his youth. Also dur-
- ing this time his mother introduced him to the wonders of the 'flutte'. At the
- Tower of Wizardry in Quo, he was taught the Lore he needed to know in order to
- harness his Power. During the Rising of the Dark, he learned the value of
- sword-play. Taught the Way of the Blade by Janus of Weg, the commander of the
- elite Guards at the Keep of Dare, Kelanen has kept his sword-skill honed.

- Conversant in Wathe, Old Wath, the High Tongue, and the sign language used by
- the White Raiders; with a knack of picking up new languages, Kelanen Aldorion
- was one of the few Mageborn chosen by the present Archmage to travel the Void in
- search of a world suitable for habitation by the people of Darwath. Even with
- the threat of the Dark gone a new deadly danger has arisen. The Realm of Dar-
- wath is now entering an ice-age.

- Appearance: He is about 160-160 cm tall, 50-60kg in weight. He has black
- hair, very white skin and red eyes. This may be caused by the fact that his
- parents were both powerful mages. He looks very young (which he really is),
- but when his age is asked, he usually replies "I'm old enough".
- He usually wears a long black cloak, which hides his normal clothes (which he
- changes from time to time...). Under his cloak is also his shoulderbag,
- which contains various objects from various locations. This bag is magical,
- and even Kirkil, who has made it, doesn't know all its secrets.
- History: Kirkil was born to two very powerful mages. At the age of three he
- could read and write two different normal scripts, spoke fluently three and
- could both read and write one magical script. By a freak accident his
- parents' covenant was destroyed and he was left as an orphan. No one knew of
- him. He continued his studies and found out that it wasn't his fault, but
- his father's archrival's, Lord Craphrastus'. Kirkil began to hunt him, but
- was trapped. He was saved by an adventurer group, but after two weeks of
- adventuring with them he got lost and found himself on another plane.
- Thereon he has travelled planes, gathered knowledge and fought evil and dark
- presences and forces, only to go back to Cerdrylann and revenge his parents.
- Demeanor: He usually is very quiet, and doesn't make any quick decisions,
- except in battle. He appreciates his friends, but sometimes does things
- which benefit only himself. If he tells his history to someone, it
- means usually that he is willing to sacrifice his hand if not even his
- life for that person. He is really honest, but "What you don't know
- doesn't hurt you"! His friends usually hear this excuse "Well, You didn't
- ask about that".
- XRXS (Xerxes): Small homunculus, which Kirkil made at the age of six. Has
- accompanied Kirkil everywhere since then. Quite intelligent, and capable of
- own thinking. Can do various spells and cantrips, but usually forgets that
- Kirkil can cast spells through him. Nice fellow who enjoys life and needs
- only oil to feed, from time to time. He is green, has small wings, red eyes,
- has nightvision, IR and UV, and is naked (but he has no genitals, being a
- construct)

- Your first impression is that this human thinks he is better than you.
- He is very tall and thin, and when you look in his face as he speaks to you,
- you see primarily his nostrils. (That's also true if you are taller than him.)
- He may be fifty years old, and he wears clothes that make him look rich.
- He makes you think of those hundreds of sea snails necessary to dye his
- purple cloak and shirt. Kloote is a conjurer from the Mysty Mountains, and
- he is famous there, as he stopped the abductions of nobles by summoning the
- victims as soon as their abduction was known. He has been given a county
- for that feat, but recently he lost it again because he wantonly summoned
- too many horrible and till then unknown monsters, which are now devastating
- the whole country.

- Kordane is a urban survivor, by profession a cat burglar.
- He is a shade under six foot, with a light build. He has
- long black hair, which surrounds a face tinged with elvin
- lines and green eyes. Unless working, he wears a crimson
- headband, often with a matching shirt. A throwing dagger
- is strapped to each forearm, a light short sword hangs at
- his side. He is a member of the thieves guild, though he
- usually works solo.

- Kraska has a faint blue nimbus surrounding him at all
- times, as well as his staff. His body is like that of crystal
- clear water, only solid, and also slightly translucent. If
- you look closely enough, you can probably see through him. He
- does not have any other observable objects with him, except
- for a pair of short trousers, which is the only clothing he
- wears. He does not eat, but only needs pure water to survive.
- Kraska has a humanoid shape, stands 5 foot 10 tall and
- doesn't *really* stick out like a sore thumb. He does not
- originately come from Generica, but finds himself here only
- due to a misunderstanding with a mage on his plane of
- existence.

- Kron was until recently a respected and experienced Sergeant of the Watch
- of Generica. However, in the recent past he has been involved in a scandal
- that has cost him his job and community standing.
- Kron is approaching fifty years of age and is starting to look it. He has
- greying brown hair and a heavily-lined face. He is of medium stature and is
- very fit and muscular. He wears a leather jack with no insignia upon it,
- breeches, and heavy boots. In poor weather he wears a greatcoat. Kron is
- a native Generican and knows the streets and alleys of the City of Fountains
- like the back of his hand. He loves to tell and hear stories, and has a
- weakness for good mulled wine and better riddles.

- Kryalla has the dubious honor of being the first "dark watcher from the
- corner," alas, lacking the precognition to see a cult thing in the making.
- She usually wears a black cloak, sometimes referring to it as her "Shroud,"
- though what exactly she means by that seems to critical of knowledge to
- entrust to others. Her background is not known by any mortal being, only
- that she appears and disappears at times throughout the lands, usually with
- some story or quest for those who encounter her.

- Kukul is a native of an island chain far to the south of Generica. He is
- one of the younger sons of a tribal chief, and as such is a fearsome warrior
- as well as one of the favorites of the tribe's terrible Shark God. Kukul
- is tall and has deep black skin. He is bald, and his teeth have been sharpened
- to points.
- Although Kukul is still a savage at heart, the Shark God has ordered him to
- travel through the civilized lands. Hence, Kukul has learned how to act like
- a civilized man, and has even attended an academy of learning, where he has
- gained some skill at history and storytelling. Kukul will not tell why he
- is in Generica, but he seems to be a student of society.

- Kyleen appears to be a typical Elven ranger at first glance.
- She is small, even for Elves, measuring in at 4'1". Her build is 'slender'.
- She has golden-brown hair and light green eyes. Her clothing consists of
- garments in varying shades of green, all trimmed with silver. Her only jewelry
- is a silver clasp for her cloak engraved with an arrow. When on the alert,
- she carries a longbow of Elven make, as well as a short rapier and several
- daggers, some concealed less visibly than others.
- Kyleen is usually solemn, but at the same time kind, not loathe to cheering
- those around her. Yet, when it comes time to be serious, Kyleen turns into an
- excellent strategist. It is easy to get the idea that one would rather have
- Kyleen on his/her side.
