- ADMIN: For those who remember the Mista/Luthor thread of last year,
- you will recall that The Nightstalker was left to fight the Lich that
- had kidnapped Mista. Nothing to date has been posted about this
- confrontation, until now.....
-
- Luthor had left with Mista, the child was now for the moment safe, and
- The Nightstalker sighed a sigh of relief in his mind. The task at hand
- was more than enough for his attention, without having to worry about
- the child. It was still a puzzle that the devilkind wanted the child,
- but no puzzle why he had used this undead as his instrument. He generally
- never did things himself directly. The Lich was angry, and no doubt fearful
- because it had failed, and failure brought punishment. The Nightstalker
- mused on this, and decided the Lich shoud be more afraid of him, because
- undead normally were. The creature was too powerful to destroy straight
- off, using The Nightstalkers ability to harm the undead, he would need a
- little softening up.
-
- A large fireball disrupted The Nightstalkers thoughts, sending him flying
- back into a stack of old crates, setting them blazing. Soon the whole
- building would be ablaze. This, thought The Nightstalker, was not good.
- The Lich became cocky, as evil often does, and appproached the blazing boxes,
- expecting a char-grilled warrior-mage. What he found was the form of a
- salamander, who breathed a large flame back at the undead creature. This
- soon changed its demeanor once more to anger. The Nightstalker, however,
- was on a roll, now back in his human form. Soon Dragon's Breath (the mages
- blade), was whistling through the air, and removed one of the Lich's limbs.
- An unholy cry was heard, long, loud and piercing. It sent a shiver down
- The Nightstalkers spine.
-
- "In the name of The Only True God, I banish you to destruction", was The
- Nightstalker's cry as his hand reached out and touched the undead. Then,
- it was gone, and in its place a pile of mouldering dust.
-
- Now the builing was truly ablaze, and The Nightstalker was not in the mood
- for a sauna. His form melted into nothingness, leaving the scene of yet
- another battle between good and evil to destroy and sign of it.
