  13. I would like to get an informal feel for the number of readers of 
  14. current economic statistics that are on this newsgroup.  Please e-mail to 
  15. this address answers to the following three questions:

  17.     -- Do you obtain U.S. economic statistics by computer or fax on day 
  18. of release?
  19.  
  20.     -- Are you employed in any capacity to analyze such numbers?
  21.  
  22.     -- Would you have an interest in a newsgroup that would be a forum 
  23. for discussion of current economic statistics?
  24.  
  25.     On this basis I would like to assess whether a new newsgroup (
  26. perhaps titled sci.econ.forecast or sci.econ.stat) would be worth proposing, 
  27. or whether it may exist somewhere else in the net.  The focus of such a 
  28. group would be decidedly less political than sci.econ is currently.

  30.     Not that I mind politics;  I just am looking for a new information 
  31. source.
