- I had the same problem with my Jeep ('85 CJ8 Scrambler, same engine and
- carb as yours). It got so bad that I had to put a 100 watt troublelight
- under the hood next to the carb -- that was the only way it would start in
- the morning! It turned out that the accelerator pump in the carb was shot.
- After I rebuilt the carb, the problem went away -- the Jeep starts even when
- the temp drops down into the minus farenheit range. Hope this helps.
