- Does anyone have any information regarding COMMON LAW in Pennsylvania?
-
- If a child is involved and the couple never had the intention of getting
- married, what are the rights of the father?
-
- Actually, the situation that I am referring to, the couple never planned
- marriage or considered common law, but had a child. And the father never
- wanted the child in the first place, but rather strongly indicated that the
- female get an abortion, which obviously she did not. He made life rather
- complicated during her pregnancy and at one point she moved out, but returned
- for the birth of a daughter. Now he is fighting for custody. The story gets
- complicated in the fact that there are a number of reasons why the mother
- does not want the child to be seen by the father: verbal attack on the
- mother and her family and drugs in the environment.
-
- Does anyone have any advise on this subject? What ARE the father's rights?
-
- Thanks,
- GRACE
