- Hear, hear. This damaging attitude of "its not my fault" is too
- pervasive in our society. Look at the House check bouncing feasco "
- Its not my fault I wrote all those bad checks, the bank never told
- me....." Or our Senator "Its not my fault I accosted those women, it
- was the fault of the liquor". Or the auto makers "Its not our fault
- we can't develop a car that meet the customer's wants and needs, its
- the Japaneese and the customer's fault......". And the school system,
- and on and on and on......
-
- I believe when we make a mistake, we ought to take responsiblity for
- our action, then say "I'll try harder next time". And then really do
- try harder. Its called incremental improvement or learning from our
- mistakes. Mistakes are great teachers, providing we listen to them.
-
- So, Edward, if you really were careening down the highway way over the
- speed limit, then admit it, you broke the law. Pay the ticket and slow
- down.
