- Hi netters,
- I have soon to install a HP 7475A as plotter for a Dec 5000/240
- (Ultrix 4.3) DecServer250 combination on a serial interface.
-
- Because I am only used to HP workstations, I have no exact idea what
- to put in the /etc/printcap entry, especially in the filter fields
- (the 240 only provides entrys for Dec printers in usr/lib/lpdfilters).
-
- I looked up the sample printcap entries at gatekeeper.dec.com, as
- proposed in the ultrix-FAQ, but there are only two entries, both
- regarding HP LaserJets.
-
- Two other questions are: What handshake protocal should I use (if any)
- and how many stoppbits does the DecServer250 use (this seems to be
- important for the baud rate of the plotter).
-
- Could anybody out there share his printcap entry or any other
- experiences he has made with this combination?
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated; e-mail preferred.
-
- Many thanks in advance, Josef
