- There isn't any mailmerge feature in FrameMaker--which is why you can't
- find it in the documentation.
-
- I've had good results with a third-party product called UniMerge, from
- Refined Reports, Inc. You can contact them as:
-
- mmark@bedford.progress.com

- and they'll be able to get you set up with brochures, demo software, and
- so forth. UniMerge runs on SPARCs and under Windows; I don't know
- whether it's available for other platforms. Basically, UniMerge takes
- an ASCII file with your variable data (names and addresses, for
- instance) and merges it with a MIF file; the output is a MIF file (or
- several MIF files) that you can print with Frame.
-
- There's also a publication from Frame called "Frame Connections," which
- is akin to the Sun "Catalyst" book: it's a list of third-party products
- that work with Frame on various platforms with brief descriptions of
- what they do and how to get more information. If you don't have a copy
- of this, your Frame rep should be able to get one for you.

- Some mailers apparently munge my address; you might have to use
- bsmart@bsmart.tti.com -- or if that fails, fall back to
- 72027.3210@compuserve.com. Ain't UNIX grand?
