- Sorry, gang. I was joking, but the real gist is that I have been VERY
- appreciative of the direct SGI help I've gotten over the net. As you say,
- other companies discourage the engineers from doing it because of risky
- info, or from reduced productivity or some other reason.

- My past experience was with something called HP SupportLine, where HP/Apollo
- took free advice and turned it into an expensive and useless system much
- like their 800-line support.

- Disclaimer: This is no comment on the present state of HP/Apollo's customer
- service. Since I stopped owning Apollo's at the DN4000 level, I haven't
- called their help lines in two or three years.
