  23. Apple Reduces Suggested Retail Prices on Selected Apple Imaging
  24. Products in the U.S.

  26. CAMPBELL, California--January 6, 1993--The Apple USA division of
  27. Apple Computer, Inc. announced today that it has reduced prices in
  28. the United States on selected Apple imaging products.
  29.     Beginning today, the manufacturer suggested retail prices (SRPs)
  30. will
  31. be reduced on the following products:  Personal LaserWriter NTR,
  32. Apple OneScanner, LaserWriter IIf, LaserWriter IIg.  The new prices
  33. are effective immediately.
  34.     "Lowering our SRPs will enhance our competitive market position by
  35. providing selected Apple products at aggressive price points," said
  36. Bob Puette, president of Apple USA division of Apple Computer, Inc.
  37. "These price reductions will help continue our momentum in
  38. marketshare gains, while providing customers with excellent products
  39. at unmatched value."
  40.     Puette noted that while Apple USA is announcing a change in SRPs on
  41. many Apple products, it is difficult to estimate what effect this
  42. action will have on retail pricing set by resellers.
