- Apple is having problem meeting demand. They are too successful in the
- powerbook
- line plus other desktop models.
-
- I just read that Acer in Taiwan has signed or going to sign an agreement with
- Apple to do some manufacturing for them. The article went on to say Apple
- traditionally
- like to deplete their current inventory on older/discontinued models before
- shipping the new ones in quantity.
-
- May be that's why our local CompUSA is running radio ads every day to sell
- their
- Powerbook 170. Many customers will end up buying the 170s as the latest, not
- knowing it has been discontinued.
