-
- Take out the main and backup batteries. (Or maybe you can just use the
- shutoff switch on the back.)
-
- On the bottom are 3 round feet. Pull them out. Behold the heads of the
- hidden screws. Use a Philips screwdriver (on a 100, these are NOT Torx
- screws) to take them out. Turn the PB right side up, unlatch the
- screen and "open" it -- carefully, there's only a ribbon cable holding
- it now. Lay the screen down on the table next to the back edge of the
- main case. Lift the back edge of the keyboard, slide it back 1/2" to
- expose the front edge, then flip the keyboard over so it's lying on
- the screen. Carefully. Don't damage the blue ribbon cable.
-
- The RAM slot is on the left side next to the daughterboard.
-
- Use a wrist grounding strap.
-
- I did this last Wednesday and didn't fry anything. DISCLAIMER: That
- was last year. You break it, you buy it, bucko. Following the above
- directions would void your warranty if you had one and may cause your
- PB100 as well as your 2MB module to be utterly destroyed. I've never
- been near the place.
