  13. I am considering the purchase of a FAX modem. I have a Mac II, which
  14. has a 2400 baud vanilla modem attached, and a Powerbook 100, which has
  15. no modem at all, so I'm thinking of buying a modem for the Powerbook.

  17. My requirements are: FAX send and receive; the ability to wake up
  18. the Powerbook to receive an incoming FAX; portability (if not
  19. internal); low cost (< $200 if possible); single-line phone/FAX switch, 
  20. if possible.

  22. Can anyone recommend a suitable modem? Can anyone tell me whether
  23. the Zoom FaxModem PKT shown on p. 50 of the lates MacWarehouse
  24. catalog will meet the above criteria?
