- A couple of weeks ago, the battery on my PB 100 stopped holding
- anything more than a minimal charge; that is, even though I kept
- it charging almost all the time on my desk, when I removed the
- power adapter and started up, I immediately got a warning that
- I was running on reserve power. The PB is only 6 months old.
-
- I took it to a dealer, who replaced the battery without charge.
- However, I didn't get any explanation as to what had caused the
- problem, and more importantly whether it is likely to happen
- again. Has anyone had a similar experience? Are these batteries
- prone to this sort of thing?
-
- These are lead batteries, so I believe that "battery memory" is
- not a concern; consequently, I believe that there is no harm in
- my leaving it charging all the time. Am I mistaken in any of these
- beliefs?
