- I have recently replaced the memory in my IIci with 8 meg (4 x 2) 80 ns in
- Bank
- A and performance has gone to pot. Screen rewrite, window operations and
- even entering text is much slower. Performance on AfterDark screen savers
- is
- noticeably slower: zooming through the universe is now accomplished in a
- series of jerks.
- Do you know what I can do to resolve the situat.? The built-in video card
- may
- be somewhat shot (power-surges) since B&W mode is lousy, with lots of
- flicker,
- although 16 and 256-color is OK (but not perfect). I am thinking of putting
- in a new video card. Would that speed up my machine. A cache card? Better
- memory? My monitor is a Sony multi-scan HG 14 in.
-
- Pfui.
-
- THanks in advance.
