- Build 53 is the next step along on the (interminable) "bug fix" path for the
- ATI drivers. Gateway appears to have some QC process that takes them several
- weeks to OK a driver for distribution (I suppose that makes sense, given the
- exposure they have), so they've only just accepted build 50.

- The Build 53 drivers eliminate (at least for me and many others) the extremely
- annoying "insufficient memory" messages that kept popping up in the Build 50
- drivers. The only remaining bug I see is the first time I switch a DOS
- window to full screen, it's got garbage in it. The fix is to quit the DOS
- app, restart, switch to full window again, and no more garbage. I haven't
- tried MS Access to see if the font/cursor problem (I-beam text cursor does not
- match the font) is fixed.

- Since Gateway does not officially support the ATI beta drivers, my
- recommendation is >>don't bother with build 50<< - the build 53 drivers
