- I'm looking for a good color handscanner under $400. If one doesn't
- exist then I won't bother getting one yet.
- Anyway, I saw a listing of scanners in the Computer Shopper that listed
- 2 small scanners by "The Complete PC" for about $200. It claims that they
- both can handle lineart, half tones, continuous tones, color and photos.
-
- What I would like to know is:
- Do these scanners actually scan color or is it some special software
- that tries to interpret color from gray scale?
- Do the scanners use a red or yellow/green led for the scanning light?
- What is the size of the scanner?
- What software is packaged with the scanner?
- Anything else of interest about these scanners.
-
- Thank-you,
- Dan Schmitz
