- Has anyone else with a MegaSTE run into a problem with Spectrum Holobyte's
- Flight of the Intruder simulator/game? I sent Email to HOLOBYTE on GEnie
- concerning this, but I've heard how much Spectrum Holobyte cares about
- supporting atari these days, so I better not hold my breath...
-
- My setup is a Mega4STE with TOS v. 2.06, 50Meg internal Seagate IDE,
- 85Meg external Seagate SCSI (ICD host), and 88Meg Syquest (also SCSI).
- I know the software works fine on my "old" 1040ST, even off of the external
- hard drive. But whenever I run it on the MegaSTE, the screen goes blank
- right after I enter the correct password from the documentation. And the
- drive a: floppy light goes on, as if it's accessing that drive. I have
- tried this with both game disks in the drive (no, not both at once 8^> ),
- but to no avail. I have also removed all accessories and the AUTO folder,
- so I can't see where something else is interfering (no TSR's). I have
- tried to run from drive E: (IDE), drive H: (SCSI), and drive A: (floppy).
- Still N.G. And when I try to boot from the floppy, I get 4 bombs. Out of
- desperation, I have unplugged my MIDI cables and kept my DeskJet powered
- off, but there is no difference in the result. Does anyone out there have
- any idea what gives?? The manual explicitly says that the program will
- run on a MegaSTE... (just not _my_ Mega STE... B^0 )
