- I do think that piracy is more pervasive on pc's. Every person I know
- who has a pc has pirated commercial programs. I've seen pirated versions
- of commercial programs used by companies I've worked for. My brother
- used to work for a large aerospace firm and a friend of his there came
- very close to being fired because he refused to use pirate software
- at work, which pissed his supervisor off bad. I detect the attitude
- among pc owners that I know that they are "entitled" to pirate copies and
- you would be "stupid" to buy it. Do I hang out with an atypical, criminal
- set of people? I don't think so. I think they reflect the views of the
- average pc user.
-
- I think the commercial piracy situation has gotten better since software
- manufacturers have started raiding corporations.
-
- Now I don't know about shareware - I am talking about pirated commercial
- software, not shareware.
