- HI,
- On a 486-33 system, 16Mb memory, 210Mb hard drive;
- standalone system running os/2 (no network connected).
- Also assuming that any printer filter programs like ghostscript
- would be available (freeware or shareware)..
-
- I wonder if I shall buy [1] a real HP, HP-compatible
- printer (ie HPIIp+, HPIIIP, or Epson/Panasonic/Okidata types)
- OR [2] a postscript-capable printer that is also capable of HP-emulation.
-
- First concern is price difference.
- Second is that HP-emulation/capability is important for
- chinese character printing (outside os/2).
-
- Your opinion/experiences on whether a Postscript printer is
- REALLY better than a HP-compatible type in os/2 will be highly appreciated.
- (One note: I would love to print 2 or 4 ! pages on ohe
- physical page on the HP-compatible printer, if possible).
-
- And what about memory on board??
-
- Will summarize if enough replies.
