- Hello OS2 Collective Wisdom. I have a question regarding OS2 2.0
- GA. I have it installed under the following configuration.
- Hardware:
- Compaq 386/25 with 9 MB RAM
- VGA Monitor
- 110 MB Hard drive Partitioned as follows:
- Primary Parition C: HPFS 30 MB
- Secondary Partition D: FAT 80 MB
-
- While things are running quite swimmingly I am worried because
- the C: partition gives me CHKDSK errors which it does not allow
- me to correct (because it says the disk is in use or locked).
- Everything that I use regularly is on D. Only system files are
- on C. The swapper.dat file is on D. I set it up this way so that
- I would have basically no reason to touch the C: drive.
-
- Now, there is no problem at the moment, because the machine has
- not crashed in any way. I am aware of DOS/OS2 2.0 file attribute
- considerations and do not use DOS utilites to copy files created
- by OS2 and I have not attempted to back up or compress the hard
- drive at all with any attribute-stupid utility.
-
- My questions:
- 1) Is the problem serious or can I just blow it off and merrily
- compute away?
-
- 2) How would I go about fixing this problem if I wanted to.
-
- Please e-mail me directly and thank you in advance for your
- help.
- Cheers,
-
