  11. Hello OS2 Collective Wisdom. I have a question regarding OS2 2.0
  12. GA. I have it installed under the following configuration.
  13. Hardware:
  14. Compaq 386/25 with 9 MB RAM
  15. VGA Monitor
  16. 110 MB Hard drive Partitioned as follows:
  17. Primary Parition C: HPFS 30 MB
  18. Secondary Partition D: FAT 80 MB
  19.  
  20. While things are running quite swimmingly I am worried because
  21. the C: partition gives me CHKDSK errors which it does not allow
  22. me to correct (because it says the disk is in use or locked).
  23. Everything that I use regularly is on D. Only system files are
  24. on C. The swapper.dat file is on D. I set it up this way so that
  25. I would have basically no reason to touch the C: drive.
  26.  
  27. Now, there is no problem at the moment, because the machine has
  28. not crashed in any way. I am aware of DOS/OS2 2.0 file attribute
  29. considerations and do not use DOS utilites to copy files created
  30. by OS2 and I have not attempted to back up or compress the hard
  31. drive at all with any attribute-stupid utility.

  33. My questions:
  34. 1) Is the problem serious or can I just blow it off and merrily
  35. compute away?

  37. 2) How would I go about fixing this problem if I wanted to.
