- BP> Change the packaging of the documentation that comes with OS/2:
-
- BP> I really really really..... hate opening up OS/2 (and many
- BP> other IBM software packages) to find dozens of separate
- BP> little booklets, cards, flyers, etc. License information,
- BP> proof of license, multi-lingual license information, index
- BP> to licenses.... Guides to this, that and the other thing.
- BP> Cards for registration, cards for comments, cards to get
- BP> more cards.
-
- BP> Does every department at IBM get to print their own little
- BP> scrap for inclusion in the box? I think it would be much
- BP> better to put everything in one or two manuals, like with DOS
- BP> manuals. At least then, you wouldn't have to worry about
- BP> missing one crucial scrap that tells you what you want to know.
-
- BP> One comprehensive manual ... One comprehensive index ... a
- BP> good thing
-
-
- Here Here! Not only is IBM goofing with this nonsense but
- other software vendors are doing the same. I recall PCTOOLS came
- with several manualettes. Barf. Several other not-worth-mentioning
- software vendors have done the same to me.
-
- Makes it a REAL PAIN IN THE FRIGGEN ASS to have these idiotic
- little pamphlets strewn about my bookshelf.
-
- Come to think of it...they arnt worth referring to anyway....:>
