  13. I just got a ZyXEL U1496E+ with 5.04 ROMs.  I can't get it to recognize
  14. the ring signal.  If I set S0=1 the modem will never answer the call
  15. and there are never any "RING" messages sent by the modem.  The S40 register
  16. is set to zero (0).  Anyone have a clue, or is it just mal-functioning?
  17. I am located in Sweden, but usually there are no problems with the RING-
  18. signal.
