  30. This can be emperically proved. In general it is smart (given pricing
  31. and the quality you should expect nowadays) to throw away a diskette
  32. with a bad sector. Mostly something has gone wrong at produktion time
  33. and it is indeed to be expected other parts of the disk are less
  34. reliable as well. Often it is a matter of too less magnetic material
  35. on the disk.

  40. Most harddisk produced nowadays are bad sector free. If you get a new
  41. one with bad sectors ask your dealer to replace it (we always do).
