- This can be emperically proved. In general it is smart (given pricing
- and the quality you should expect nowadays) to throw away a diskette
- with a bad sector. Mostly something has gone wrong at produktion time
- and it is indeed to be expected other parts of the disk are less
- reliable as well. Often it is a matter of too less magnetic material
- on the disk.

- Most harddisk produced nowadays are bad sector free. If you get a new
- one with bad sectors ask your dealer to replace it (we always do).
