- That's not what I said at all. The law clearly says it is just as illegal to
- discriminate "against" males as females; just as illegal to discriminate
- "against" single people as married people - *in those cases where
- discrimination is illegal at all*. Had Eric been refused *housing* or a *job*
- on account of his race, gender, or marital status, he would have had recourse
- under the law (although, if there affirmative action quotas involved, he might
- have lost his case). The point he, Eric was complaining about insurance rates,
- which are *not* covered by nondiscrimination law. If you think there should
- be nondiscrimination policies in insurance rates, you'll have to take that up
- with the state insurance commission, for starters. I'm sure many have tried
- this before, but to no avail - it is relatively easy to prove there is a sound
- reason to charge males under 25 more than others.
