  14. Can anyone tell me a quick story about what a stiffness tensor is (or at
  15. least the kind of book title to find it described in).  I know a bit of
  16. linear algebra, & think I understand the formal definition of a tensor,
  17. but don't actually know how to do anything useful with them.
