- Hello friends|
-
- I'm interested in OOBE's for about one year and some months. I wasn't
- very successfull since then, but I never give up and I know I'll get out
- of my body in the future and I won't get back the next seconds (like in the
- past). I read some books:
-
- (1) Robert Allen Monroe: "Journeys Out Of The Body" (1971, renewed 1977)
- This book was translated in many languages and is one of the classics.
- I think this is the best book to start studing OOBE's.
-
- (2) James H. Brennan: "The Astral Projection Workbook" (1989)
- This book gives an interesting theoretical background on OOBE's splitted
- up in two kinds of experiences, so called "Ether Projections" and
- so called "Astral Projections". He also wrote "Astral Doorways" (1971).
-
- (3) Sylvan J. Muldoon/Hereward Carrington: "The Projection Of The Astral
- Body" (first edition 1929|||)
- The classics on OOBE's. This is an interesting book but you won't
- read anything about "Astral World". They also wrote: "The Phenomenon
- Of Astral Projections" (about 1950) and "The Case Of Astral Projection"
- (1936)
-
- (4) And again Robert Allen Monroe: "Far Journeys" (1985)
- A book, that takes you in worlds which cannot described with words
- beyond space and time.
- Now he is writing his next book "Ultimative Journey".
-
- There are three starting points for OOBE's:
-
- 1) DREAMS:
- a) Lucid Dreams: Mr. Brennan will tell you the most interesting
- techniques (2).
- If you know in a dream that you're dreaming you can go wherever
- you wish.
- b) "Dream Guiding": This method was invented by Muldoon (3).
- It bases on the old theory that there is a connection between
- some special kind of dreams (if you are flying, falling, driving a
- car, using a lift, ...) and OOBE's.
-
- Personal Note: I found out a correlation between these dreams and
- the stiffness of my fingers immediately after awakening. (I wasn't
- able to write or it was very hard to write clear letters.)
- Please, tell me your experiences. I'm curious.I want to see if
- my theory is right.
-
- You create such a dream (classical: moving upward in a lift)
- and then visualize this dream while falling asleep and in the right
- moment get in the dream. When you leave the lift your counsciousness
- becomes fully awake and you are out of your body now. You've
- imagined this dreams many time befor.
-
- 2) You releax your body and mind while lying down and "forget" to feel
- your body - and then it should be easy to leave the pysical body with
- special tricks.
- You'll find many versious of this technique (1),(2).
-
- 3) SLEEP:(read Muldoon for details (3))
-
- You use a need (sex doesn't work|) you have or you do something so
- often that you can't live without doing it. Then you suggest your self
- to awaken at a certain place you'll go to sadisfact your need.
- You ly down and releax and fall a sleep. Sometime in the night the
- secound body will leave the physical to satisfy the need. On the
- certain place you'll became fully awake and notice that you are out of
- the body there.
- (this happens maybe in a dream but I think this isn't necessary).
-
- I give you an example:
- One night in summer 1992 after a dream I suddenly became aware that
- I'm fully awake. I felt being turned around - left, then right, then
- left, ... and I heard and felt my heart beat somewhere in my neck.
- - I didn't open my eyes and that was a great mistake.
- All the time it was dark. Then I became frightened and returned
- to my physical body and awaked.
