- Are you serious ? You are an adult right ? Can you watch a movie in this country
- that has not been approved by someone else ? They actually take bits out and say
- "no I don't think the likes of Grenville should see this" and you never do. It
- actually costs more to take the bit out, and support all those public servants
- who make the decisions.
-
- Of course I guess you are not truly censored.
-
- I suppose you realize that there are probably still certain actions that you are
- not allowed to perform with your wife in the privacy of your own bedroom ? Perhaps
- not in this country, certainly not in many states in the US, and absolutely not
- in Great Britain. These countries would seem to represent a considerable portion
- of western society. But someone has said, "no Grenville should do this, even
- though no-one is being harmed by his actions, regardless of whether they are
- consensual or not".
-
- Of course I guess this is not truly censorship. (Semantically I suppose it isn't).

- My taxes pay for this network. So do yours. If control is exercised over content
- because it is not within the charter of research then that is fine by me. I will
- lobby to broaden the charter of the network.
-
- But if control is exercised because someone wants to tell me what I can read or
- write or think then I will fight them with all due vigour.
-
- There was I time when 1984 passed and I thought that George Orwell had been
- mistaken. Now I realize that he just got the date wrong. It was about 40 years
- too late.
