- The club near Wrigley is called The Wild Hare and Singing Armadillo Frog
- Sanctuary. It is on North Clark Street about two blocks south of Wrigley
- Field. It used to be very small, but since it has been remodeled it is
- just small but it is a lot of fun.
-
- If you are in Chicago, pick up a copy of The Reader-a free weekly newspaper
- that comes out on Thursdays. You can get it at most bookstores and at lots
- of places in the River North ar, the Lakeview area and Wrigleyville. In
- section 3 itas all the clubs in town listed with the acts that will be at
- each for that weekend and the next two weeks. It lists all the reggae clubs.
- Biddy Milligan's has reggae groups as well as the Cubby Bear Lounge, but the
- Wild Hare has been around since the late 70's when only a few of us ha here in the midwest had discovered reggae. It's been on my must visit list
- every time I'm in Chicago.
-
- Question: Anyone know what happened to the group Dallol that played in Chicago
- in the eighties? They were a great group of guys from Ethiopia who played
- fantastic reggae. They were quite popular in Chicago at the time. Haven't
- heard of them in awhile.
