- I'll second the recommendation of Bernstein's rendition of op.
- 131. I've also enjoyed the Yale Quartet readings of the late quartets-
- formerly available on Vanguard LPs in good 1960s stereo sound - very intense,
- lean readings. The Vegh quartet is also among my favorites- the complete
- stereo cycle on the Astree label; I have op. 130 (Bb) in an old Haydn
- Society (mono) pressing - from which I learned the piece.
