- It might not count, but one of my all time favorites is Bach's Brandenburg
- Concerto #5 - just simply awesome. Same goes for the rest of his Clavier
- Concertos. As far as real piano concertos go, naming just one is very very
- hard - it might depend on the day of the week, etc. Anyway, here are a few
- of my faves:
-
- Mozart 9, 20, 21, 23, 27, Concert Rondo in D, etc.
- Beethoven (All of them) - my favorite is #4
- Prokofieff 1, 3
-
- Honorable mention goes to Chopin 1 & 2 and Brahms 2. Sometimes I like to
- listen to these. Every once in a while, Schumann. My least favorites are
-
- Rachmaninoff (All including 'Rhapsody...')
- Franck Symphonic Variations
- Saint Saens (Any)
- McDowell
- Grieg
-
- I can't believe I actually used to like these concertos. Blecchhhh!
- My professor actually tried to convince me to learn one of these. I told
- her that I don't think I should waste my time with them. Maybe if I start
- liking these again. I seriously doubt it will happen, but maybe. Oh yeah,
- I forgot one - Liszt (any music for piano and orchestra) - yuck! Never
- liked 'em, and I don't think I ever will. Good for showing off though.
-
- As far as survey purposes go, for today, my vote goes for Bach Brandenburg
- Concerto #5. If that don't count, then count me for Mozart #27. Maybe you
- ought to post the results of your survey. As you said, inquiring minds wanna
- know...
