  24. knowing that this thread has been leaving out a major portion of the
  25. story of Circling In, i went home and got my copy last night.  sure
  26. enough, everything stated by gidi above is spot on, right down to the
  27. guess at the length of the additional material.

  29. the remaining 2 and 1/2 sides of the 2 lps of Circling In is devoted
  30. to 2 1970 sessions of the band Circle (whence the album's title):
  31. Chick Corea, Anthony Braxton (winds), Dave Holland (bs) and Barry
  32. Altschul (dr).  (Except for one lone cut, Blues Connotation, from an
  33. april '70 trio session with Holland and Altshul.)

  35. the album was released in 1975 as part of Bluenote's reissue twofer
  36. series, and was produced for release by Michael "reissue" Cuscuna.
  37. AND lengthy liners by Stanley Crouch.  there was another bluenote
  38. reissue twofer of Circle-era Corea stuff called Circulus.  i have no
  39. recollection whether it preceeded or succeeded this one.
