- I think this was intentional, because actually he's recording the vocal from
- the next room, right?

- Also, on the Yesterday EP (and CD of EP, too), there is some sort of percussion
- in the background at the very start. Is this on the mono British _Help!_
- album too? It's not on any stereo version I've heard, or the mono American.
- What is it, and why is it there?

- Also, on my American CD of it, it seems like there is a slight tape defect
- here or something (at the very start) because there are a couple of little
- blips in the stereo on the first beats. Also, have you noticed that the
- American CD of _Rubber Soul_ uses the American LP cover instead of the
- British? Somebody goofed! But their LP reissue of the British version has
- the correct cover. The difference is the Capitol symbol vs. the Parlophone
- symbol, and the color of the title.

- That's what I've always thought, too. I'm glad someone agrees with me!

- This morning, I put on a couple of Beatles 45s instead of the CDs, as I
- occasionally do just for the sake of it. Anyway, one of them I put on
- was the Swan 45 of "She Loves You", and I discovered that the edit is
- quite a bit harder to hear on this! It's very obvious on the CD, though.
- I also got out the mono & stereo _Beatles' Second Album_. On the mono,
- it's about the same as the Swan 45, but on the stereo, you can hear the
- edits, though not the change in cymbal sound so well. I think that perhaps
- Swan did something to the tape to disguise the edits, like maybe change
- the treble setting when it got to that point or something. Of course, we
- know Capitol did a lot to them, especially the stereo, since it's fake.
- I don't think it's just the extended clarity of CDs, though. Anybody
- care to check the mix on the original British 45?
