- That is, of course, if your ignition can put out enough juice
- to jump the gap. Too wide a gap will LOOSE power and mileage.
- If you're really into it, "index" the plug. This refers to the process
- of making sure that the gap faces into the combustion chamber. Do
- this by putting a mark on the plug opposite the gap. Screw it in,
- and if the mark does not face away from the piston, you can get
- washers from the local speed shop to make the plug aim into the
- cylinder. It's supposidly worth doing, but I never noticed any
- difference.
