  28. You are getting confused with Oldsmobile's 4-4-2 which was:

  30.      4 barrel carb, 4 speed tranny and 2 (dual) exhausts.

  32.      then it was revised a few years later to:

  34.      4 (400) cu in engine, 4 barrel and 2 (dual) exhausts.

  36. Then the energy crisis hit in the early '70s and 4-4-2 was nothing more
  37. than just a name.  Most had only the 4 barrel carb, some had 400's or 
  38. 455's and after '74 none had dual exhausts.  Sad...

  40. That's like the 98's used to be on a 90 series (large) frame, and they
  41. had 8 cylinder engines.  How many 98's of today fit that description?
