- The traditional beefs against Dodge trucks are two:
-
- 1. Lack of innovation. 20 years later, nothing has changed.
- 2. Chrysler Corporation craftsmanship.
-
- Durability of bodies, or mechanical components has never been a problem
- relative to Ford & GM.
-
- Not everyone sees innovation in driveline components which replaced iron
- with aluminum, and resulted in lower capacity to be positive. To be sure,
- shift-on-the-fly to low range, could be nice. But automatic hubs have
- their downside. And while the Chrysler small block V8 may suffer from
- legitimate innovation complaints, this would seem to have little to do
- with the Cummins package (which all of the engine, transmission, and
- differentials, and most of the electronics come from other than Chrysler
- Corporation).
-
- Chrysler craftsmanship has improved, but could improve more. Chrysler
- does offer the best warranty of any truck manufacturer.
