-
- You betcha. There are many important factors which can differ between
- drivers, and many ways that a company can 'skimp' in making the units.
- Price _sometimes_ says a lot, as does the manufacturer.

-
- It has been commonly held that a box's volume can vary by as much as 10%
- without serious effects to response. When you throw in the variability
- due to port volume, driver volume, and interior support volume, things
- really go out the door.
-
- By the by, your dealer is certainly not required to steer you towards a
- good driver. They may have decided that you look like you 'couldn't
- afford' or 'wouldn't appreciate' the other units, or that they would
- make better money or a faster sale off the MTX.

-
- First, before going to tons of trouble, try stuffing your box with polyester
- fill and see what you think. If the problem persists (ie: you're still not
- happy) look into getting a new box AND driver. Talk to the installers, not
- the salesguys. The installer has listened to _every_ vehicle he worked on -
- the salesguy has listened to maybe 1 in 20 of the systems he sells.
-
- Besides that, you may want to check the tuning of your box to make sure that
- it is up to spec.
-
- Anyway, good luck, and keep in touch. I am full of useless, opinionated
- advice which I enjoy spewing at any chance.
