- Yeah maybe there are some disadvantages of using anti grav boots but
- what about other gadgets such as a mechanical device that will enable
- them to slide down the rope more comfortably or to aid them in climbing
- up again. Tools like that do exist today, a smaller and lighter version
- of that should be existing in the future. They probably did know that
- they would encounter a cliff like that since they knew they were going
- below the surface of the planet into the caves. I dont think they brought
- the ropes because they thought 'Hey maybe we can use these as lassos?' :)
