- We are currently seeking a CONNECTIVITY ENGINEER-ODBC to join our
- CONNECTIVITY ENGINEERING Orgnaization.

- JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for developing a ODBC router connecting
- Gupta API-based frontend products to all SQL data base servers supporting
- Microsoft ODBC specifications. The charter of this position is to assist
- in defining the strategy and requirements for ODBC connectivity for Gupta
- API-based products and then to design, implement, and test an ODBCRouter
- product. It is expected that the candidate will be able to architect.

- THIS POSITION REQUIRES:
-
- - BS or MS in Computer Science
- - MINIMUM 5-7 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- *Developing products for PC-Lan based client-server computing,
- especially SQL connectivity via the ODBC specifications.
- *Developing SQL database managers
- *Developing products based on SQL, including familiarity with
- dynamic SQL.
- - Experience installing and testing RDBMS's
- - Good foundation in testing principles, general software development
- practices.
- - Knowledge of SQL client/server architectures.
- - Knowledge of message intrfaces and API architectures.
- - Familiarity with following environments is desireable:
- *ODBC specifications
- *IBM's Distributed Remote DataBase Architecture (DRDA)
- *RDS, SQL Access API and Formats & Protocols (FAP)
- *IBM's SAA components
- - Experience with windows programming desireable.
