- Object-Oriented CONSULTING PRACTICE (60% travel)

- Company Background
- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
- Our client company's consulting practice division provides C++ expertise
- to World Class software developers and research labs, thus providing an
- opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder some of the brightest software
- developers in leading-edge environments. This consulting practice, which
- augments the parent company's very successful object-oriented software
- development environment product, has been in business since 1990, is led
- by the founders of a large software company's consulting practice
- division that they grew to $75 million revenue and 300+ consultants
- before leaving to start this new object-oriented consulting practice.
- They hope to exceed their previous accomplishment. So far, they have
- assembled a team of 8+ extremely competent consultants plus an
- outstanding sales team from the most successful software companies in the
- World. In 1993, they will be opening several new offices in the U.S. and
- Europe. OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS A GROUND-FLOOR OPPORTUNITY!
-
-
- Career Growth
- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
- Other fast-track, highly competent people we have placed in the Technical
- Consultant positions said their technical prowess has been greatly
- increased by the opportunity they have to work closely with World Class
- developers, as well as the parent company's World Class product
- engineering group, has been like getting a MSCS in one year ... and
- that's from people who already had a MSCS! They also say that being in
- close contact with their clients (in some cases, Research Lab Directors)
- has sharpened their business and speaking skills. All feel that in
- addition to adding to their already extensive C++ skills, that after a
- year into the job, they have also become an expert in the parent
- company's software development environment product. One Technical
- Consultant we placed was promoted to a Senior Consultant in about a year
- and one-half, and a year after that, was promoted to Manager of the Midwest
- Region Consulting Group. Another was given a challenging individual
- assignment in Europe six months after starting! Everyone at the company says
- their business is only limited by their ability to find high-achiever C++
- experts who, like everyone in the company, make a 150% effort. (This is
- NOT a job for engineers who are just average!)
-
- Upward visibility possibilities are unbelievable! As mentioned earlier,
- the consulting practice is opening new offices next year , which means
- Technical Consultants going onboard now will probably be promoted to Sr.
- Consultants. As the consulting practice grows there will be a need for
- managers for all the new offices that will be opened. Other possible
- avenues could be into Sales or Engineering (at the parent company). In
- any event, the experience you will be able to put on your resume will
- make you EXTREMELY valuable!
-

- testing, etc.); (3) Description of type of project,
- CPU, OS, languages, methodologies, tools; (4) The end
- result (e.g., the system went into production or was
- shipped on schedule). You should also have a Summary
- of Expertise at the beginning of your resume that
- lists the GENERIC AREAS (e.g. GUI design, Network
- Management design, etc.) that you are truly expert
- in, as well as CPU, OS, languages, tools, and
