  15. An osteopath is a physician who is taught bone manipulation as a
  16. method of therapy. This manipulation is similar to chiropractic except
  17. that osteopaths do not limit themselves to spinal manipulation.
  18. Osteopaths also study the regular allopathic curriculum and most
  19. practice solely as allopathic physicians and do not perform
  20. manipulation even though they are taught it. A good summary of the
  21. different types of alternative medicine can be found in Andrew Weil's
  22. book "Health and Healing".
