- I wore glasses for 40 years, myopia, quite severe. A couple of years
- ago, I developed cataracts, not too severe, but enough to seriously
- interfere with my normal life (very much reading, computers, etc.) My
- lenses were both removed and replaced with artificial lens
- implants. My vision now is measured as 20/20 in one eye and 20/30
- in the other. I went into the hospital in the morning, and, mostly
- just waited my turn, half hour operation, and I walked home an hour
- later. No faith, no guessing, no maybes. Driving without glasses for
- the first time in my life and use glasses for reading only (now
- far-sighted, of course, since the lens implants cannot be focussed).
- If you have cataracts, don't hesitate. I'm absolutely delighted!
- Should I have taken vitamins, or whatever, instead of the operation?
