  17. I've read enough about homeopathy, and have spoken to enough people
  18. to warrent trying it out for myself. I didn't risk my life in any way,
  19. shape or form, nor did I risk any significant amount of money.

  21. Second, I find the thought of my asthma just 'disappearing' specifically
  22. during a cold and wet spell which has seriously aggravated my asthma in
  23. the past as well as usually bringing on a bad chest cold, more fantastic
  24. than the idea that a homeopathic rememdy would lead to my body correcting
  25. whatever was wrong that brought back my asthma.

  27. This kind of actual experience may be worthless to you or others, but it
  28. is the most important evidence I could have.

  30. Third, sticking your finger in a light socket is not an accurate analogy
  31. for trying out an alternative treatment, I understand your skepticism though.

  33. It appears that you and others who seem so opposed to homeopathy on this
  34. news group believe that modern science and medicine has all the answers
  35. already, and that anything not currently fitting into a current scientific
  36. explanation should be carelessly disgarded.

  38. It may be because of my lack of education (I'm just now finishing my AA)
  39. and the fact that I've only completed introductory chemistry and an intro
  40. to pharmacology, but the principles behind homeopathy just didn't seem that
  41. wild to me, at least not wild enough to warrant not trying it. This was also
  42. reinforced by the historical success homeopathy bosts. Of course, that could
  43. all be lies I suppose.

  45. I have a goal which is to go from being an adult-onset asthmatic to a NON-
  46. adult-onset asthmatic. Allopathic medicine just doesn't have much to offer
  47. in terms of a cure for asthma. Please understand that during hiking and
  48. backpacking trips I will still continue to carry my emergency meds, I'm
  49. not stupid.

  52. a person's *current* view of the world.
