  11. Without warning, the battery on my PowerBook 170 has gone completely dead.
  12. The PowerBook works fine while plugged in, but won't even turn on using the
  13. battery.  I've tried for many hours to recharge it, but it's still dead.
  14. (What's strange is that just before it died, I had managed to coax over three
  15. hours of use out of it.)

  17. Is a PowerBook battery covered under a warranty?  (The battery is the
  18. original
  19. that came with the PB...I've had both for about 6 months now.)  I don't think
  20. I can call the 800 service number since I'm in Canada.

  22. Any advice or suggestions?  Has this happened to anyone else?  I guess I
  23. should
  24. head over to the nearest computer store (that sells PowerBooks) and try out
  25. a different battery in my PowerBook just to make sure it is the battery.
