- Hi all, and happy new year !
- I did have the same problem as David: I wanted to get rid of the
- circa 2800KB `hole' Apple left on my PowerBook 180's 120MB HD. It
- seems like a *bad* idea, as any unpolite shutdown/restart did
- corrupt my HD somewhat. It never was a serious problem (this seemed
- more like a corrupted driver/volume info block) as I never lost
- anything.
- The fix I used was to repartition my HD with the original setup.
- I should have tried with a smaller `Apple_Free' partition, but I got
- tired of reloading my files after each try.
- Has anyone an idea about what's happening ? Is the Apple_Free
- partition really free ? Thanks in advance for any information,
- as I'm curious.
