- My pet peeve with computer stores is the number of them that hook
- up all sorts of non-standard hardware to a Mac on display. I was
- in both a CompuUSA and Fry's last week and they each had junking
- two button mice or track balls hooked to the Macs. Not one of them
- had a "regular" Apple mouse attached. Fry's also had some really bad
- SVGA displays hooked up.
-
- I understand they make more money on third party hardware, but it
- makes that initial experience a new user has with a Mac far less than
- it should be.
-
- After looking at the junky monitors that they are hooking up to Macs
- I can start to understand why '86 based PC's are cheaper than Macs.
-
- Do your eyes a favor and buy a good monitor! Even you PC folks...
