- I'm looking for an inexpensive CD-ROM so I can play Spaceship Warlock. Since
- this CD-ROM is purely for entertainment, cost is the overriding factor. The
- least expensive dirve I've seen is in the MacWherehouse catalog for $299.
- I called MW and they said the drive contains a Panasonice mechanism. I can't
- find out anything about this particular drive. Any ideas or suggestions?

- The most higly rated CD-ROM is the NEC CDR-74 which transfer data at 300KBPS,
- twice as fast as most other drives. I'm pretty handy with electronic
- equipment so I'm thinking about buying a CD-ROM for a PC, making my own cable
- and power supply, and buying something like CD-ROM toolkit from FWB to drive
- the thing.
