- We are moving and plan to laydown only one network, a 10baseT Enet. Any
- suggestions and/or cautions about particular brands of boards? We want to
- put 5-6 macs and 2 laswerwriters on the same network as our UNIX boxes, use
- some disk space on one of the UNIX boxes as a mac server and still be able
- to select the printers from the Chooser.
-
- It looks like Dayna's Enet cards and their EtherPrint Plus adapter will
- handle the first and the last requirements, but can we get the box's hard
- disk to appear as an AppleTalk server? Will we need additional software?
-
- Also, does anybody know about Asante's cards? Do they have anything like
- Dayna's EhterPrint? What software comes with their cards?
-
- Ditto for TechWorks.
-
- What kind of telnet software is available?
-
- Someone (EVerette, sorry, I lost your email address) suggested EtherWrite
- and CAP (runs on the UNIX box). Any infomation on where I can find either
- of these items? Any experience with them?
-
- It will probably be easier to email me and I'll summarize and repost.
