  13.     I've got a brand new Duo 230 that obviously didn't ship with
  14.     the new Express Modem (since it's not out) so I tried to hook
  15.     it up to an external USR Courier v.32bis via it's
  16.     modem/printer port.
  17.  
  18.     Only problem is, none of the programs can find the modem.
  19.     I've tried Versaterm PRO, Zterm and the Shiva Dial-in program
  20.     and none of them can open the port.
  21.  
  22.     So I break down and read the manual and sure enough it says
  23.     (p. 260) that I should open the Powerbook Control panel and
  24.     make sure that the external modem option is enabled.  Well,
  25.     when I open the cp there is no such option.  The only 3
  26.     options abailable on my cp are battery, scsi, and wake-up.
  27.  
  28.     So what's up?  How do I enable this port? (I've checked the
  29.     phone lines, modem and cable and am sure they all work).
